The Counselling Association of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter (RIVCASSON), marked the International Day of People with Disabilities with a heartwarming visit to individuals with disabilities across Rivers State. The visit, which took place on December 3rd, was part of RIVCASSON's ongoing commitment to raising awareness and promoting inclusivity for people with disabilities.


The celebration highlighted the resilience, tenacity, and courage demonstrated by individuals living with disabilities. RIVCASSON members visited various communities, disability centers, and care homes, taking the opportunity to engage with individuals and learn about their experiences. During these visits, RIVCASSON acknowledged the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities, while celebrating their strength and determination to overcome obstacles.

The event featured speeches and interactions that emphasized the importance of creating a more inclusive society.

The Leadership of RIVCASSON commended the resilience of individuals with disabilities and called for greater societal support, accessibility, and opportunities for all people, regardless of their abilities.
